“It is such a privilege to walk with someone through the emotional and psychological effects of cancer and give them hope and help throughout that experience.”
Michelle Vieira is an oncology social worker and part of the Palliative Care and Survivorship programs. Whether it is connecting patients to practical resources, helping them cope with the emotional, physical and financial impacts of treatment or transitioning to life after cancer, Michelle is committed to making sure no one ever feels alone during their journey. She wants her patients to feel seen and heard and know there is a whole team ready to help them find the strength, skills and resources they need through treatment and beyond.
When not working, Michelle enjoys exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, spending time with friends and family, reading, and writing.
