Biography
Dr. Ahmed’s interest in hematology/oncology began early in medical school. While the rapidly developing science behind cancer mechanisms and treatments fascinated him, it was the courage patients and their loved ones displayed during times of overwhelming fear and uncertainty that solidified his pursuit of this career. He has a passion for forming strong relationships with his patients while providing excellent, holistic care. He is also a firm believer that patient education and empowerment are paramount to patient care. The opportunity to provide this support, knowledge, empathy, and compassion are what he finds most fulfilling.
Dr. Ahmed specializes in hematology and general adult oncology. His main areas of interest are in malignant and non-malignant hematology, lung cancer, and gastrointestinal cancers.
In his free time, Dr. Ahmed enjoys traveling, anything food related, and spending time with his wife and their mini bernedoodle, Marley. He has moved here from Philadelphia, PA and is excited for all the amazing outdoor adventures to enjoy in the Pacific NW.
