Biography

Marisa is a physician assistant with a focus in medical hematology and oncology. While initially starting her career in emergency medicine, she found that she valued complex medical care and shared decision making but wanted to spend more time getting to know her patients and their families. She eventually transitioned to oncology which has felt like the perfect combination of the two ever since. 

Marisa has worked in a variety of hematology and oncology clinical and hospital settings throughout Oregon and Colorado, allowing her to learn a multitude of practice styles and considerations. She enjoys staying up to date on the latest available treatments and feels fortunate to be able to offer so many new options to her patients.

Above all else, Marisa understands that cancer and its treatment will never be one size fits all, and strives to work closely with each patient to decide the best fitting plan of care for them moving forward.

Outside of work, Marisa enjoys time with family,  hiking, reading, and gluten-free baking.
