NCS Services

Northwest Cancer Specialists provides cancer treatment that is at the cutting edge and patient care that is compassionate, high quality, and efficient. Innovative therapy involves expertise from physicians of various specialties, including medical oncology, hematology, blood and marrow transplant, gynecologic oncology, and radiation oncology. NCS physicians have trained at prestigious academic centers and are certified in one or more of these specialized fields. Physicians' ongoing participation in continuing medical education (CME) and multidisciplinary cancer care conferences places an emphasis on effective evidence-based medical practice as well as promising novel treatment strategies that are vital to patient care.

Diagnostics and imaging studies such as PET/CT scanning are an integral part of patient care. On-site laboratory and pathology services offer patients convenience and a quick turn-around time for results helps physicians make prompt treatment decisions.

NCS offers a comprehensive oncology pharmacy with highly skilled and experienced admixture technicians who carefully prepare every injectable dosage necessary for the treatment of cancer.  All of our drugs are obtained through a state-of-the-art distribution system to ensure their quality and safety. This system has been recognized by the National Association of the Board of Pharmacy.

At NCS, physicians and staff are dedicated to strive for the best care of patients and their families by providing comprehensive diagnostics and cancer treatment.  Every cancer is different, and so is every patient. That’s why treatment plans are developed for each patient based on individual needs.

Today, the major types of treatment for cancer are chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and hormone therapy. Each of these can be used alone, or oftentimes, patients will receive a combination of treatment types.  Physicians consider the stage of your disease, your overall health, lifestyle and your personal preferences as they determine the goals and which treatment options to recommend.
