Compass Oncology Reminds You to be Sun Safe

Skin cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in the US and it's on the rise. Melanoma—the deadliest form of the disease—is now the second most common form of cancer in young adults between 15 and 29. You may think the Northwest's cloudy days protect us but the fact is Oregon and Washington have the 4th and 5th highest rates for new melanoma cases. That's about 35% higher than the national average.

Compass Oncology wants you to stay healthy. Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen, cover up and avoid tanning beds. Have regular skin checks and see your doctor immediately if you see any changes in your skin, especially moles.
