Medical Team Makes a House Call to Rwandans Dr. R. Scott Rushing, gynecologic oncologist, and Caroline Fung, physician assistant, at Compass Oncology, were featured in an article about their recent rip to Ginsenyi, Rwanda in April. With their help, physicians in the small town now have the knowledge and supplies to see and treat cervical cancer which is the No. 1 lethal cancer in Rwanda. The test provides a more personalized evaluation of recurrence risk, identifying those patients who warrant inclusion of chemotherapy in addition to anti-hormone therapy as part of their treatment plan.
