Demonstrates knowledge of age specific differences in the patient population including late adolescence, adulthood, middle age, and the elderly. This includes physiological, psychological, and developmental differences unique to each group.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: -Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred. -3 years nursing experience. Preferably, at least one year oncology nursing experience. -Experience and knowledge of the purpose and use of medications in the treatment of cancer. -RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state required. -Current OCN certification preferred. -Current CPR certification required. -Must maintain continuing education requirements.
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our team. We currently have a position available at our Vancouver Cancer Center. This position is full time, 40 hours a week.
The mid level provider provides primary care in collaborative joint practice with the physician to oncology patients. Scope of responsibility includes expert practitioner, educator/teacher, care management, consultant, nurse researcher, and nurse leader. Successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Demonstrate the ability to engage patients in care plan through professional and companionate communications.
Qualifications include: Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program for nursing education and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program. Minimum of three years post MSN experience in oncology nursing. Experience and knowledge in the management of the physiologic and psychological effects of cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment. RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in Oregon. Current state certification of Nurse Practitioner. Current CPR certification required. ACON certification required.
Cyto-Genetic Medical Technologist

Responsible for performing standard cytogenetic techniques involving cell culture, microscopy, image capture, cell analysis, and karyotyping that require adherence to established procedures. Perform basic to advanced cytogenetic techniques, as well as complex experiments requiring independent judgment to interpret results; includes recording and presenting data in an established format.
- Image capture, analyze and interpret slide preparations of biological specimens for Cytogenetic studies. Includes preparing and staining slides to be analyzed and setting up harvesting cultures in order to extract chromosomes
- Adhere to recording format; includes preparing materials and methods
- Log specimens, maintain records accurately and prepare reports using the ISCN Cytogenetic Nomenclature reporting guidelines
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in biology or equivalent life science degree is required. Prefer related clinical or research laboratory experience in the technical aspects of cytogenetics, microscopy, cellular growth and structure, standard laboratory techniques, processes, procedures, tests, and research methodology; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or eligibility is preferred. Familiarity with computers and software applications such as Microsoft Office programs is preferred. Needs to be competent in multi-tasking, works at a high level of independence and has attention to detail.
