Insurance Specialist

The Business Office is seeking a INSURANCE SPECIALIST to join our team.  The ideal candidate is a billing specialist  / medical collector looking for challenges and opportunities.  The position is located at our Central Business Office in Vancouver WA. 

Under general supervision of the Business Office Supervisor, this position is responsible for payer and patient account balances being paid timely and remaining current. Performs collection activities such as monitoring delinquent accounts, contacting patients for account payment, resolving billing problems, and answering routine and non-routine account inquiries.

REQUIREMENTS: 

High school graduate, or equivalent. 

3-5 years experience of medical insurance practices and collection practices.

GYN/Surgery Scheduler

Compass Oncology is seeking to fill an immediate opening for an energetic self-starter to join our team as a Gynecological Oncology Scheduler. This position is located at our West Office in Portland OR.

Schedule patient appointments and tests in an efficient and timely manner; both in person and over the phone.  This position includes frequent interaction with physicians and patients, and requires strong oral and written communications skills, with a strong eye for detail.

Knowledge of: Microsoft Applications, Electronic Health Record (iKnowMed preferred but not required), Practice Management System (Centricity preferred but not required).

Desired Skills: Experience Scheduling surgeries at hospital systems, effective communicator, computer proficient, high regard for excellent customer service.

Patient Financial Counselor

Compass Oncology, the largest multi-specialty medical oncology practice in the Pacific Northwest, is seeking a full-time experienced Patient Financial Counselor to join our team at our Rose Quarter Cancer Center in Portland OR.

Requires a minimum two years medical office experience. Experience with billing of drugs preferred. Qualified candidates will have an understanding of CPT, HCPC and ICD-9 billing guidelines. Understanding of Oregon / Washington Medicare and Medicaid. Experience with HMO, PPO, POS regarding referrals and prior authorizations. The Ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with MS Word and Excel required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required. 2 years medical office experience.

Medical Records Tech

Compass Oncology is seeking to fill TWO full-time Medical Records Technologist openings at our Rose Quarter location!

Under minimal supervision, the Medical Records Tech assists with organizing, sorting, and filing all incoming and outgoing patient information. Prepares charts for patient visits. Files, locates, retrieves and delivers medical records as assigned. May orient, train, and assign the work of lower level employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of five years office experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Previous experience in a medical records department.
